During the rainy season sometimes the "oued" ( the dry bed of a river) of Wadane fills with water.
While I stayed there for a couple of weeks in the month of June it filled twice.
It had rain in the higher planes about 40km away and the water arrived
during the night washing up anything on its way.
In a country where water is a rarity people spend their time just looking at it.
